Orbital shakers are ideal for insect cultures, protein expression, plasmid purification, solubility studies, extraction procedures, cell cultures, diagnostic tests, general mixing, hybridization, bacterial suspensions, staining, destaining, and washing procedures<\/div>\n
Analog units feature variable speed controlled by a rotary dial, a DC motor, and an LED digital display of temperature. An integrated tachometer monitors and displays speed in rpm to guarantee accurate setting, and the timer allows for continuous operation or timed shaking from 1\u201360 minutes.<\/div>\n
Digital units feature variable speed control, adjustable with up\/down arrows, and a solid-state, brushless DC motor. Separate LED displays indicate the temperature, speed, and operating time. The speed is adjustable in 1rpm increments. Shaker shutdown, audible and visual signals indicate temperature deviations of \u00b11\u00b0C of setpoint. The timer allows for continuous operation or timed shaking from 0.1\u2013999 minutes, or from 0.1\u2013999 hours. The soft-start feature helps prevent sudden starts and stops to eliminate splashing of vessel contents and wetting of flask closure. Setpoint retention retains parameters during power failure and restarts unit automatically after power is restored. RS-232 interface allows remote monitoring of temperature, speed, and time. Monitor temperature with a built-in recorder jack for output to chart recorders for a permanent record.<\/div>\n
Triple eccentric drive enables continuous 24-hour operation, handles heavier loads, and provides smooth uniform agitation of full or unbalanced loads even at high speeds. Shakers monitor and control chamber temperature with PID temperature controller. Visual, user-adjustable overtemperature safety signal with independent thermostat provides additional backup by controlling the heat if the main controller fails. Shakers feature a powder-coated, cold-rolled steel exterior. A strong, ABS housing surrounds and protects the polyester control panel. A clear, plastic lid allows viewing of samples while unit is in use, and a safety interlock stops platform motion when the lid is open. The spacious chamber holds six 2L flasks.<\/div>\n
